At our core, we believe that your time spent off the bike, is as important as your time spent on the bike. VeloVedic retreats take all the details in hand, freeing you to focus on your core matters.
Kicking off each day with a dynamic yoga session, followed by breakfast and briefing, you will join your chosen ride and head out into the Cotswold countryside. The group will come back together at the end of each day for a post-ride, 'rest and recover' yoga session. On Sunday, we will mark the end of the weekend with a casual supper, giving everyone ample time to unwind and socialise.
Yoga is not just about getting flexible, it is also about getting strong. For cyclists, this means stretching over-developed quads and glutes, and strengthening comparatively under-developed lower backs, deep abdominal muscles and hip flexors. With the cyclist's needs always firmly in mind, you will gain a greater understanding of how your body and bike fit together with the aim of sitting more comfortably in the saddle, and perhaps gaining a few free watts along the way! The Dreamers will enjoy quiet roads and scenic views at a conversation-friendly pace. Stopping for leisurely lunches at carefully selected venues, your guide will ensure that everyone stays together. Dreamer rides will suit the relaxed rider and resting racer.
The Screamers will test their technique over the course of the weekend, developing the skills to ride at speed in a bunch. Café stops will re-charge your batteries in time to start increasing the pace all over again! Screamer rides will suit budding racers, or riders interested in a challenge.
